Having influence is all about getting things done without resorting to wielding your authority. This makes it much easier to do things like:
  • ·         Getting support for your ideas from your supervisors and peers in other departments
  • ·         Motivating your team to tackle tough or risky projects
  • ·         Having your voice heard at higher-level strategic meetings

What if he understood the goals and objectives of other people in the organization? What if the leader other person’s objectives , even when he doesn’t have to care?

People will take any risk for a person they trust and like .In other way around the leader gains influence when he become approachable and have a interest on other people

Influential people are transparent.
One of the most important thing that leader can do to have more influence is remember to share context when he schedules the meeting with others. This is something leader has to do with both the peers and the people he manage. Sharing context information creates a shared foundation for the conversationsOtherwise people will spend less time with listening to what the leader is saying and more time to thinking assumptions about your motivations
